November Events

As we head towards the month of November which promises to be a busy one for the Club. The following gives some further information about the various events which are planned –

Race Night – 2nd November

Always a popular event and an important one for raising funds for the club.  There is still time to buy individual horses or indeed the whole race to guarantee yourself a bottle!  Tickets are £1 at the door so if you find yourself free next Saturday night come along and hopefully beat the bookies!

Presentation of Prizes – 9th November

As agreed at the last AGM this year we are holding a Joint Prize Giving, in line with what takes place at most clubs. We look forward to our prize winners being present, but even  if you were not successful in any of the competitions come along anyway and enjoy a light supper  and the musical entertainment which will follow the prize giving itself. Please add your name to the list in the Clubhouse.

Prize Draw Evening – 16th November

Any members who have still to return their tickets/money are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. We are also still looking for prizes over and above those listed on the ticket, so if you know anyone who might wish to donate a prize, or if you wish to do so yourself, please let Ian Smith know.  The draw itself will be followed by music from Matt Bulloch so come along and you never know yours might be the ticket which wins £250 cash!

Sunday Afternoon Cabaret – 24th November

The next Sunday afternoon cabaret features “Legends” and tickets are available from the Bar as usual.

St Andrews Night – 30th November

To complete a busy month  we are holding a St Andrew Night, which will feature Scottish music from Matt Bulloch and a light supper.  This night was suggested as an alternative to the Burns Supper, but with no speeches or formality, and is open to all members. A touch of tartan in terms of dress is optional!

We look forward to seeing you at some if not all of the events, and remember that  all our events are open to friends and relatives to come along as well.
