The four teams with the highest shot difference progressed to the Semi-Finals. The Semi-Finals were over Four ends and one game had to play an extra end to decide the outcome.
Some great bowling was veiwed by spectators and the teams from earlier games and eventually we had the Finalists. Robert McCartney, Jim Lindsay and Bryan Love would play John Slaven, Archie Patrick and Andrew Muir over five ends. The Final went all the way and again some magnificent bowling was played by both teams with John Slaven’s team triumphant.
The trophy was presented by Brian Ranson to the winners and the apres discussions and festivities began.
A huge thank you to all who played in what is a very popular trophy in the senior gents calendar, and even some of the new members commented that they thought it was a Saturday because of the numbers present.
A huge vote of thanks go to the Ranson Family for their continued sponsorship of this competition, and to the lovely quartet of ladies who served us lunch. thanks also to Brooke and Dylan for keeping our glasses replenished. Roll on 2023.
