Once again the sun shone and a fantastic day was had by all who participated in the Open Pairs Competition.

Sixteen teams battled it out for the semi final slots, with the teams of R. McCartney & J. Fennessey, B Richmond & G. Grossart, R. Munro & S. Gilmour and E & J. Houston all prevailing to the last four.

After two close fought semis, Billy and George overcame Emily and Jamie to claim the title. Two fantastic bowls by Billy at the last end proved pivotal and provided a scintillating end to a great day of bowling in our wonderful club.

The Gents Match Secretaries, Vice President and President would once again like to thank all members and participants for the amazing support and feedback recieved following a succession of enjoyable weekend competitions. Thanks to the bar staff and caterers who kept us fed and watered. Also a huge thanks to our own Caroline Munro who helped organise funding for the day.
