Presentation Night 2025

What a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements of all our bowlers—both within the club and beyond. The clubhouse was buzzing, packed with people, and the atmosphere was electric as the presentations unfolded.
Matt, our ever-reliable photographer, DJ, and compère, kept the crowd entertained in his trademark style. It wasn’t just the usual singers who took to the mic either—the younger members proved they’ve got talent too, impressing everyone with their performances and delighting the audience.
A huge thank you goes to the food and drink teams, who kept everyone well looked after throughout the night.
Now we can close the lockers, put the bowls away, and take a well-earned rest—until we do it all again next year!
Head to the Gallery to see a selection of last night’s photos.

GREEN CLOSURE DAY SATURDAY 4 OCT 25

It is intended to have a green closing down event on the morning of Sat 4 Oct.
This involves the removal of the mats from the ditches, taking the score boards down, putting the benches into the hut and a general tidying of areas around the club. To enable this to be done successfully it needs as many as possible able-bodied men and women to assist.
It is intended to meet at 10 am Sat 4th and with enough bodies the work will be completed by 12 pm.

We look forward to seeing you.

Presentation Night

Just a reminder that our presentation night is Saturday the 27th of September. Could members and their guests please add their name to the sheet in the clubhouse corridor if they are wishing to attend. 7pm start, with a buffet and disco afterwards. Raffle prizes are welcome on the night.

Under 25 International Series Report

Congratulations to Jamie Noon and his team mates for winning the gents under 25 international series this weekend at Northfield. The gents put in some great performances to get over the line across the weekend, finished by a fine display to beat England in the final game today to get the gold medal. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for Rebecca Houston and her team mates, as they just feel short on getting the gold medal and had to settle for silver. Despite their best efforts in the last session against England, a 5-5 draw saw them just miss out by 6 shots to win the gold medal, after being tied on points with England. The ladies fought right to the very end and it couldn’t have been closer. Well done to Jamie and Rebecca for having a great series, and well done to Colin Noon for helping the teams as one of the coach’s for the event. It was a tough shift for the teams and coach’s this weekend with difficult weather conditions and long days, but all they did themselves, families and our club very proud
