Invitation to celebrate our British Isles Gold Medallists.

Hi Everyone.

We are delighted to announce that Lyn and Rebecca Houston, who brought immense pride to our club by winning the Scottish Pairs Championship last year, have now achieved an even greater milestone by becoming British Isle Bowls Pairs Champions. This remarkable accomplishment deserves a fitting celebration, and we invite everyone to join us in honouring Lyn and Rebecca.

Following the Willie Wallace Competition on Saturday 4th July, the club will host a celebratory evening at 7.30pm. The festivities will feature music by Matt, a delicious hot buffet, and plenty of joviality. It promises to be a wonderful opportunity to congratulate Lyn and Rebecca and enjoy an evening filled with camaraderie.

To help us make arrangements for catering, kindly let me know if you will be attending. We look forward to coming together as a club to celebrate this outstanding achievement.

British Isles Ladies Pairs

Congratulations to Lyn & Rebecca Houston who won the Gold Medal and were crowned British Isles Pairs Champions this morning after a victory against England in the final.
Well done ladies, what a fantastic achievement and we are all so proud of you both

Summer Fayre

Well, the weather gods must have been PBC members this year, because after a week of cold, wet misery, they delivered sunshine right on cue for our annual Summer Fayre!
And what a day it was! Whether you fancied a cuppa in the tearoom, a flutter on the tombola, a bargain plant for the garden, or the chance to become a human fruit machine (where else would you get that opportunity?! ), there was something for everyone.
The club was buzzing all day, and it was brilliant to see so many smiling faces enjoying the atmosphere, catching up with friends, and supporting PBC.
Of course, events like this don’t just magically happen (despite what some people think!). Behind every raffle ticket, slice of cake, and pint poured is a small army of volunteers working away in the background.
So, a huge thank you to our fantastic Social Team – you absolutely smashed it!
A big shout-out too to our bar team, who barely stopped for breath all day, and to all our wonderful bakers and generous donors. (A full list of supporting businesses will follow soon.)
Most importantly, thank you to all our members, friends, families, and visitors who came along. Without you, we’d just have been a group of volunteers standing around with a lot of cake and nowhere to put it!
We’re delighted to say that the combined fayre and bar takings exceeded all expectations, making all the hard work, planning, carrying, lifting, baking, serving, and tidying up completely worthwhile.
Thank you for making the 2026 PBC Summer Fayre such a fantastic success. Same time next year… if the weather gods are feeling generous again!
Photos will be on the Gallery page of the website.

Charles Smith

Congratulations to Team Prestwick who lifted the Charles Smith Trophy tonight after 2 excellent wins against Seafield and Northfield
Our fours team of Paul, Craig, Alan & Davie got of to a flyer and never looked back, winning comfortably against Seafield. Our triples team of Stuart, Colin & Jamie’s game was a much tighter affair against Northfield, with the scores tied 11-11 playing the last end. Jamie Noon, facing game down with his last bowl, played a fantastic shot to move the jack and score 2 for Prestwick, to see us win 13-11 and lift the trophy
Congratulations to everyone who has played over the last 4 weeks to help Team Prestwick to victory and thank you to all the supporters who came tonight to cheer the teams on.
