The Joker was drawn at the A.G.M. Thursday 7th March and was won by James Lee. Well done James.

Today is International Women’s Day and Lesley Keenan finds herself President of Prestwick Bowling Club after being elected at last nights A.G.M. Lesley is the first woman to hold this position since the club was founded in 1879 and we all wish her well for the coming season.

TheTuesday Ladies Group participated in something very different today. Russell Frame who is an expert in the game of Bridge, explained  how he got into playing Bridge, then  with Ann Boyd ably assisting him, Russell tutored 8 ladies who had volunteered to try playing with the rest of us watching on. It was fascinating to watch and it looked like a good game. The ladies enjoyed playing and some showed some interest in learning more. Many thanks to Russell and Ann for giving up their time to share their passion.
Next week 12 March it’s ’Catch Up’ and the following week 19 March will be Bingo. On 26 March there will be an end of session party.

The Ladies Tuesday Group welcomes PBC Treasurer Russell Frame on Tuesday 5th March at 1.30pm to talk about his involvement with the game of Bridge and perhaps we’ll get the opportunity to try out this game. I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
