Congratulations to Emily & Gail who won their semi-final in the West of Scotland 3 Bowl pairs today against Giffnock.
They now progress to the final on Thursday 20th August at Helensburgh.

Finals 2026

Hi everyone,

It is hard to believe, but we are already nearing the end of the playing season. That means we can look forward to ten days of outstanding bowls and the chance to celebrate everyone who has reached the finals.  We would like to wish every finalist the very best of luck.

Due to unavailability and double ups for finals, we are not using Sunday 23rd August or Sunday 30th August and we are using Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Monday 31st August.

Please find attached the programme for this season’s finals; please note that a hard copy of these programmes will be on sale for £1 for club funds with the lucky programme winning a prize.

Good luck to Dennis Hendren this evening representing Prestwick in the McDonald Agnew Singles in the Ayr Trophies competition.
Dennis plays against Kenny Barr from Forehill at Crooksmoss B C  6:15pm.

LADIES UNDER 25s
Congratulations to Rebecca Houston who won her Ayrshire Under 25 final today against Aimee Robertson from Auchinleck. Well done Rebecca on a great performance.
GENTS UNDER 25s
Hardlines to Jamie Noon who unfortunately lost his Ayrshire Under 25s final this afternoon against Kilwinning. Great effort Jamie.
UNDER 16s
Hardlines to Chloe Buchanan who unfortunately lost her Ayrshire Under 16s final against Springside. Great effort Chloe.
Congratulations to all 3 of you for reaching your respective finals, a great achievement for the club to be well represented across the disciplines.

PBC Fish, Chips & Bowling Day

What a fantastic day at our annual PBC Fish & Chips Bowling Event!
The green was buzzing as 48 folk took to the green, with The Crispy Cods, captained by Jean, battling it out against The Hearty Haddocks, captained by Toni.
There was plenty of laughter, merriment and good old-fashioned fun throughout the day!
The Hearty Haddocks were sitting 6 points ahead going into the final ends… but when the dust settled, it was the Crispy Cods who came out on top and claimed the winners’ title!
And what’s a Fish & Chips Bowling Day without the fish suppers? 🍽️ They were absolutely delicious, tasty and toasty, delivered fresh from The Chippy Prestwick.
A huge thank you to Stuart, Michelle and the whole team at The Chippy. Getting
63 suppers out is no mean feat, but you did it in style! Thank you so much!
Another massive thank you to all our wonderful helpers on the day who cleared, cheered, collected and kept everything running smoothly. You were brilliant!
And of course, thanks to Michelle and Brooke, who also served us so well throughout the day.
A fantastic day of bowling, food, fun and friendship — already looking forward to the next one!

Ayrshire Finals

On Sunday 16th August, we have 3 representatives across 3 disciplines in Ayrshire Finals. After their Under 25 International Trials, Chloe Buchanan, Rebecca Houston and Jamie Noon will play their respective Ayrshire Finals, with Chloe and Jamie playing at Kilwinning BC and Rebecca playing at Troon Portland.

Championship Results

After 4 great games last evening in the championship semi-finals, the winners were;
Colin Noon & Jamie Houston
and
Chloe Buchanan & Rebecca Houston
Hardlines to Sandy Frew, Craig Collins, Lyn Houston & Sam Ronald who all played great in their respective games.
Well done to everyone on the green tonight and thanks to those who came along to support the players.

Nationals Update.

Unfortunately it was hardlines for Emily & Gail this morning in their second round game in the Scottish Ladies Pairs against the team from Dunning.
Best of luck to Dunning for the rest of the tournament.
